**Live Action** Baseball Workout

Walking into a completely new training facility requires some confidence and willingness to give it a try.   Wouldn’t it help if you saw a workout before you came in?  Here you go!

Dynamic Upper Body Baseball Workout

Exercises:

1.  Explosive Rotational Med Ball Throws.   For an exercise to be purely dynamic it has to be incredibly explosive with low reps.  Unfortunately lots of gyms confuse “getting an athlete tired” with “getting an athlete better.”  We go low reps and DRIVE the ball into the wall.

2.  Sledge Swings.  Even though this might look crazy to someone that never tried it, over head sledge swings are great for baseball players.  Not only do we get rotational strength in the core, but there is an added degree of shoulder stability.

3.  Deceleration Swings.  It is important to maintain a training balance.  Deceleration swings teach the athlete to brace and slow down.

4.  Hindu Push Ups.  Great for shoulder mobility and tricep strength.

5.  Retracted Banded Face Pulls.  This exercise aids shoulder health and posture.
